Web forms
Web forms are an easy and quick way to collect data from visitors on your website. They can also be used to strengthen the dialogue with these visitors. Develop your own web forms and add these to your website(s) using Copernica.
Putting together a web form
You are free to determine on which page you want to publish the form and which data you want your users to fill out. You can develop several kinds of web forms in just a few steps using Copernica’s form editor. These web forms are linked to the contact database in Copernica. Form data filled out by visitors flows back directly to this database. The proper profiles are updated or a new profile is added.
Linking a web form to your contact database enables you to fill out certain fields in advance. The database already contains some information about your visitor. This way a visitor only has to fill out the fields that do not contain information.

Different kinds of web forms
You can develop different kinds of web forms depending on the goal of your web form. Develop a subscription form for your newsletter or a special event. Unsubscribe forms or web forms that enable your visitor to change their contact data can also be developed using Copernica.
Controlling data in web forms
The software will automatically check the content of fields when a user submits a web form. For example, when you ask for a user's email address, the software will check if the field contains an email address. The software will do the same for numeric fields and date fields.
Does your web form contain a field that asks for a password? Add a 'Repeat password'-field to the form. When the web form is submitted, the software will check whether or not the content in the 'Password'-field matches the content in the 'Repeat password'-field.
By appointing certain fields in your web form as required fields, you oblige the user to fill out these fields. The form will not be submitted if these fields do not contain a valid value. By default, these fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
Controlling data in a web form is especially important when using a login form. In this case, the user is already known and his data (including email address and password) are already stored in your database. When the user logs in, the software will check if the filled out password matches the password stored in the database.
