Copernica version 2.10

On Sunday June 5 2011 Copernica 2.10 is released to all accounts. Main features include more powerful email statistics, more user-friendly deliverability settings and smarter error handling.

Overview of email statistics

The emailing statistics present a faster overview of important data as well as more insight into your recipients and campaign results.
• More mailings are displayed by default in the list of mailings.

• A preview of the sent document is shown with each mailing when selected.

• Browse through mailings with 'next' and 'previous' buttons.

• An extended full report is available, with a one-tab-overview for all the relevant graphs.

• New graphs have been added for the email clients used by your recipients and their geographic locations (similar to overview under document stats).

Searching through sent mailings

A search bar is added to the overview of sent emailings (Statistics). It allows you to search for a sent mailing based on the document name or subject line. More advanced searches are also possible such as a date, mailing type or results filter.

Sharing email statistics

With a press of the button, you can share the statistics of a sent emailing, email document, email template or even a whole account. A ‘share statistics’ button has been added to the statistics view for that purpose. You can add a personal note and email the stats and/or create a shared hyperlink which you can email to anyone you like. The report shows graphs with explanations in PDF form.

Deliverability settings made clearer

The instructions for adding a DKIM key to your account have been made simpler and clearer. Especially the DNS tab presents more information in a more problem solving manner, listing both the items that are correct and those that may be faulty.

• Extension of load (sub)profile:

The software contains two methods for personalization called 'loadprofile' and 'loadsubprofile'. These can be used to load the properties of a (sub)profile of a database, collection or (mini)selection. In version 2.10 the 'load(sub)profile' function has been extended (multiple, limit and profile).

• Using dynamic image urls in source code:

The source code of HTML documents can be used to display different images to different recipients. For example to put a different logo above emailings: upload the images for the different versions to the template and add the image name as a field value to the profile. Use ‘{$profile.fieldname}’.png in the template source code to display the correct image for each profile. Of course, you can also use an image block in your template and the software’s smart editor with conditions in the document.

• Date/time imports:

In version 2.9 a feature was introduced to convert date/time fields in an import according to a specific layout. A user can choose to parse the dates as native, European or USA (eg. 04/22/2011 15:48:23). This feature sometimes accepted dates which it should not. In the new version this has been corrected.

• The overview of ‘Campaigns’ under Profiles by default shows only individual & mass mailings. This provides more overview for users on relevant campaigns. Archived and test mailings can be displayed as well through a check box.

• Remaining web forms from inactive accounts can no longer be filled out. An error message will appear to the applicant.

• The sorting order of several function and document lists have been alphabetized, p.e. contact types under Profiles, content feeds and stylesheets.

• A ‘copy to clipboard’ button has been added to the website form wizard. This ensures that all necessary data and nothing extra is copied.

• When exporting a personalized PDF file in bulk for many people, the ordering of profiles in the document can be set to your preference (p.e. alphabetical by field a or b).

• When viewing a mini selection on screen and starting an export, the selection + mini selection will be preselected for your convenience (instead of just the selection). So what you see on screen is what you export by default.

• Warning messages in web forms for linking fields are now more specific.

• The creation date of a profile can be exported as a field value.

 

More user-friendly

• The bulkmail option ‘do not send to double mail addresses’ is now checked by default.

• We are tracking what browsers you use to operate the software, so we can optimize the software for those browsers.

• Pending screenshots of new PDF documents, emailings and web pages will show as an icon of a camera. This is to inform you that it’s not malfunctioning; it’s just not ready yet.

• For A|B split run mailings there is a better overview of test group vs. final mailing results on the statistics tab.

• The articles of the Help documentation have been placed under a different layout to make reading easier (no content changes).
