On Sunday July 5th 2009 a new version of Copernica Marketing Software was released. This version also contains some improvements made to the SOAP API. For instance, when a (sub-) profile is requested through an API call, additional fields are now returned. This reduces the amount of client-server traffic, because most client applications already wanted to request these additional fields. A subsequent call is not necessary anymore.
As a result of adding this API functionality, the answer the server returns when a client application requests a (sub-) profile is extended. Extra fields are added to the XML code, which contain the extra (sub-) profile data. This can lead to problems with client application which can’t handle these extended results. We kindly request you - if you use the API - to check and if necessary modify your API connections if the added data cause problems.
