Release 2.8: improved statistics
Since sunday January 16 our users are working with version 2.8 of the application. The release follows shortly after the previous and is considerably less large. Version 2.8 offers some notable improvements to the e-mail statistics, faster selection rebuilds and more inline editing features. In 2011 users may expect small releases on a more regular base from us. We aim to minimize the disturbance and maximize your benefits from new improvements.
Highlights version 2.8
(An extended version of the highlights is available on the release page.)
E-mail statistics extended
View statistics from the new tab which has been added to each template and document. You'll find new details such as much used browsers, e-mail domains and location of your addressees.
Dedicated server for selection rebuilds
Selections on (sub)profiles are now being rebuild on a dedicated server. That means that they cannot slow or influence other processes such as mailings and that the rebuilds will be faster.
Editing e-mail headers inline
All document headers under E-mailings can now be edited inline (by clicking on the screen), even the priority and unsubscribe headers.
Checkboxes for 'personalize' and 'edit' replaced
From now on you need to hover your mouse over the 'Edit mode' button to change the view on your e-mail document. You can then choose to view the document 'personalized' or 'with variables' and in 'edit' or 'preview' mode. You'll also find the other personalization settings under the document, these have been moved from the Document menu.
Document check made visible
The yellow warning triangle below an e-mail document will warn you about all risks to the display and delivarability of your document if it's e-mailed. Hover and click your mouse on it to view details. The document check is removed from the Document menu.
Callback URL’s available
A programmer can use the Profile menu to set callback URL's. This means our system will notify your external system if there are changes to (sub)profiles. This feature was already available through SOAP. This is only interesting if you are keeping an external system updated with data from this software.
Hyperlinks checked automatically
The validity, registered clicks and follow-ups of all hyperlinks in your e-mail documents are checked automatically. View and edit these by hovering the mouse over the hyperlink.
Soapclient.php supports asynchronous calls
You can download a new SOAP script from the online documentation (under Help). A new class has been added which you can use for asynchronous, simultaneous calls. The old script remains functional as well.
