Start your commercial career in SaaS sales
Copernica develops software for marketing automation. With our platform, we help companies use customer data for relevant email campaigns, automated marketing flows and large-scale email communication.
We are a tech-driven SaaS company with around 35 colleagues in Amsterdam. Our software is powerful, flexible and technically robust. We are pragmatic, down-to-earth and know our product well.
For our commercial team, we are looking for a Junior Sales Development Representative. In this role, you help us find new commercial opportunities. You research which companies could be a good fit for Copernica, contact relevant people and help determine whether there is a potential match.
You do not need years of sales experience. This is a starter role for someone with a commercial mindset, who enjoys reaching out to people and wants to learn how B2B SaaS sales works.
What will you do?
As a Junior SDR, you work at the start of the sales process. You make sure we start conversations with the right companies.
In practice, this means that you:
research companies that could be interesting for Copernica;
identify relevant contacts;
approach potential customers by email, phone and LinkedIn;
follow up on inbound leads and marketing signals;
ask questions to determine whether there could be a potential match;
hand over strong opportunities to the business development managers;
keep our CRM up to date carefully.
Your role is to open doors, start conversations and pass strong opportunities on to a colleague at the right moment.
You work closely with sales and marketing. You share what you notice in the market, which messages resonate and where opportunities arise. This also helps us improve lead quality.
What do you bring?
We are looking for someone at the start of their commercial career who wants to learn by doing. You enjoy approaching new people, can handle rejection and follow up carefully.
You communicate clearly, pleasantly and professionally. You are curious about companies, people and commercial challenges. Experience in sales, customer service, recruitment, hospitality or retail can help, but is not required.
More important is that you get energy from making contact, can bring structure to your work and are motivated to improve in B2B sales.
You speak and write Dutch well.
What do we offer?
You get a starter role in B2B SaaS sales, with guidance from experienced colleagues in sales and marketing. You learn how companies make decisions about software, how to recognize relevant opportunities and how to prepare a professional sales conversation.
The salary is between €3,000 and €4,000 gross per month, depending on experience. There is room to grow into a broader commercial role, for example in account management, partner management, new business sales or customer success.
You work from our office in the centre of Amsterdam. We have lunch together every day and regularly end the week with drinks, a BBQ or another informal team moment.
For this role, we are primarily looking for the right aptitude:
You learn quickly, are curious about technology, and want to understand how digital marketing and software come together. In conversations, you quickly sense what someone means and where the real question lies.
You connect easily with people, build trust, and can bridge the gap between what a prospect needs and what Copernica can offer. With that combination of learning ability, interest in technology, and relational skills, you can grow quickly in this role.
Salary: €3000 - €4000
