New: improvements in automations
by Chloë van der Woude

We’ve made several enhancements to the Automations module and the Follow-up editor.
Group automations into categories
You can now create categories in the Automations module and link automations to them. This allows you to group related campaigns together and maintain a better overview.
Execute events retroactively
With the new Scan Log Files block, you can now use historical log data within follow-up actions. Once a visitor is identified, you can process any previous log files linked to that visitor.
For example, you can store past product visits in a collection or send a reminder email featuring the products they viewed.
For each log file found, the follow-up action continues with the log data available as a Smarty variable. This lets you make use of data from before a visitor was registered or identified.
New trigger options for profile changes
In the follow-up trigger “Profile included in selection”, you can now specify a particular selection. The follow-up action will only start when a profile is actually added to that selection.
This also works for:
- Profile excluded from selection.
- Subprofile included in mini-selection.
- Subprofile excluded from mini-selection.
This allows you to define precisely in the trigger which selection or mini-selection a profile or subprofile must be included in or excluded from.
Example: Send a reactivation email as soon as someone is added to the “inactive” selection for the first time.
