One active session per user starting in March

by Chloë van der Woude

User session update

From 1 March 2026, only one login session per user can be active at any given time. Logging in on another device will automatically end the existing session.

According to our license terms, each user must work with their own individual login. This aligns with applicable privacy legislation, such as the GDPR.

In practice, however, we see that user accounts are regularly shared by multiple colleagues at the same time. Because this is not permitted under the license terms, we will no longer technically allow this as of 1 March.

The result is clearer insight into the number of users, and reduced risks related to data access.
